//Joint leadership in Iran after Khamenei's death, military influence in power increasing//
According to a Reuters report, after the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, there has been a major change in Iran's power structure and the country is now effectively being run by a joint wartime leadership.
Currently, although Mojtaba Khamenei is in charge as the nominal Supreme Leader, his role is mainly symbolic—he approves decisions rather than making them.
Actual decisions are now concentrated in the hands of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Supreme National Security Council. This military-security leadership is determining the main aspects of war, security, and foreign policy.
